Financing solar home systems through pay-as-you-go schemes

This three-month internship was carried out by Sustainable Energy Technology student Yi-Han Hsu at NRG Solutions, a social enterprise focused on providing solar electricity solutions in rural and urban Cambodia. NRG Solutions was interested in implementing pay-as-you-go schemes to increase the affordability of their solar home systems, by allowing users to spread the purchase costs of a system. The objective of the internship was to accumulate knowledge about the existing types of pay-as-you-go schemes in other countries, and to assess the different options in terms of their suitability for implementation in Cambodia.
