End User Adoption of Advanced Clean Cook Stoves

This research project, carried out by Daniel Salinas Galvan, investigates factors that are relevant for the adoption and use of advanced clean cook stoves in rural northern Vietnam by means of a household survey. The study was supported by SNV, a Dutch non-profit international development organization with projects around the world. To uncover relevant factors for the implementation of clean cook stoves, the research compared the use of advanced clean cook stoves to the use of traditional stoves. The study shows that users of clean cook stoves experienced a range of benefits compared to the users of traditional stoves, and they replaced the traditional stoves completely or to a large extent by the modern stoves.
