This project was done by Mara van Welie as an internship at Cordaid, which is one of the biggest development organizations in the Netherlands. The project focussed on the work of Cordaid in the sanitation sector in urban areas. Cordaid aims to change the sanitation system in fundemental ways, and this master thesis research analyzes what the limitations and success of Cordaid's approach were in contributing to sustainable solutions to solve the sanitation problems in slums.
